Warren Mitchell

Warren "Mitch" Mitchell, 79, of Hilton Head Island, SC and Wyckoff, NJ was born on January 9, 1939 in New Jersey.  Warren passed  away peacefully on August 22nd after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.  Mitch graduated from the University of Miami and obtained his Masters at Monclair State College.  He served in the US Navy from 1961-1963.    He taught in Ridgewood NJ for 32 years at both the High School and George Washington Middle School.  Warren was  devoted to his family and is survived by his wife Laraine, son's Christopher and Jeffrey, and grandson's Sean and Jason.  Mitch had many interests such as boating, fishing, shrimping, hunting, and gardening.  Warren was a kind and  generous man who was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 22nd from 3 - 5 pm at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood, NJ.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's.org or Memory Matters, 117 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.
