Sheldon Thomas Wright

Sheldon Thomas Wright, age 93, of Hawthorne, NJ, passed away on May 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family and now rests in eternal peace.

Sheldon married the love of his life Alice A. Patrician in 1960. He was a devoted husband to Alice, loving father to Sheldon Jr. (Diana), Michel (Jeannine) & Colleen Korb (Mitch), and an adoring grandfather to Mitchel, Nicole, Rachel, Sheldon III and Natalie who were the pride and joy of his life.

Sheldon was born to Sheldon & Ruth Wright, on September 1, 1929, in Troy NY. He lived in Rutherford, NJ from 1933 to 1944 and then settled in Ridgewood where he raised his family and lived until 2019. 

Sheldon was a graduate of Ridgewood High School (1947) and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University (1951). He was proud to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Army (1951-1953). He earned a Presidential citation and 2 combat stars (1952-1953). 

He had a successful career, working as a Plant Manager at D&S Processing and later as a Sales Manager at Sterling Textile Printers.

Sheldon was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and the American Legion.

Sheldon will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him including his extended family and dear friends, John and Cynthia Aversano and Lori Holl.

Friends and family are invited for visitation this Friday, May 19 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Feeney Funeral Home 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church 1 Passaic Street, Ridgewood, NJ. Private burial for immediate family members.
