Ruben Rosario

Ruben Rosario, Jr., of Ridgewood, NJ, passed away on January 21, 2020 at age 48. He is survived by his longtime partner of 13 years, Jennifer Merowski. Cherished father to Chelsea Rosario, Dylan Ferguson, Ruben Rosario III, Savannah Rosario and Hunter Rosario. Ruben is also survived by his mother Victoria, his sister Sara Appell, his nieces Tori and Alona Appell, his nephew Ethan Appell, his beloved uncle Bill Olave, and many cherished cousins, co-workers and friends. He is predeceased by his father Ruben Rosario, Sr. Ruben was a sexton of St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church of Ridgewood, Trinity Episcopal Church of Allendale and St. John's Episcopal Church of Ramsey. He was also a custodian of the West Side Nursery School of Ridgewood. Ruben was widely loved by all who knew him. His children were his crowning achievement and his greatest passion; he worked four jobs, six days a week to ensure their every need was met. He enjoyed assisting with coaching duties for his son's sports teams, and nobody cheered with more love and delight than he did. Ruben's other passions included his 2019 Ford Mustang, his signature Super Bowl parties and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His kind eyes, his gentle way, and his genuine soul will be sorely missed by all. A service will be held on Wednesday, January 29th at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, 169 Fairmount Rd., Ridgewood, NJ at 11AM. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories at a reception following the service.
