Rose Camerone (nee Cutro), age 98, of Hoboken, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at The Atrium in Hamilton Park in Jersey City.
A lifetime Hobokenite, Rose served her community as a committee woman and spent her life doing what she loved most, caring for her family.
Beloved wife of 59 years to the late Frank Camerone, devoted mother to the late Elizabeth (Betty) Damato, grandmother to Rosemary Damato, husband Matthew Verdini and grandson-in-law Paul Cully. Daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth Cutro. Sister of the late Anthony Cutro, the late Frank Cutro, the late Theresa Friscio, the late John Cutro and the late Ralph Cutro. Cherished cousin to the late Mary White (nee Passarella) and the late Lucille Haberjan (nee Passarella). Daughter-in-law to the late Victor and Mary Camerone. Sister-in-law to the late Sue Camerone, the late Teresa Cutro, the late Joseph Friscio, the late Helen Cutro, the late Dominic, and Nellie Camerone and the late Louis and Rose Camerone. Treasured aunt to Judy Radetich, the late Richard Cutro, Michelle Tatusko, Elizabeth Cerbie, Rene Magnone, the late Lucienne Feeley, Suellen Pierce, Sharon McNeal, Jane White, the late Kenneth White, the late Louis Camerone, Roselle Camerone, the late Joseph Camerone, Diane Nazzaretto, the late Joannne Friscio, Arthur Camerone, Valerie Camerone and the late Ann Marie Camerone. Godmother to Stacymarie Sattely (nee DePinto).
Rose loved music, singing, joking, hosting family get togethers and was the life of the party. She will be deeply missed.
Visiting Monday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 1 Passaic Street, Ridgewood. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
