Ronald J. Amorino passed away suddenly on March 2, 2019, while vacationing in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Ron, a long-time resident of Ridgewood, New Jersey, was born on June 5, 1947, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Ron graduated as a member of the first class of St. Joseph's High School, in Metuchen, New Jersey. He received a B.S. In Accounting from the University of Scranton and a M.B.A. from St. John's University. He began his career in corporate accounting and transitioned to governmental accounting. He retired as Chief Financial Officer of the City of Englewood, New Jersey.
Ron was a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, the State of New Jersey and the Bergen County Tax Collectors and Treasurers Associations. He served in the United States Army Reserves. An avid golfer, he belonged to the River Vale Golf Club. He recently joined the Hobbyists Club. Ron enjoyed traveling and jaunts on his mid-life crisis acquired Harley.
Ronald is survived by his devoted wife of forty-three years, Ellen(née Dunton), son Kenneth(Rossa) and daughter Pamela Fabianski(John). He was the loving grandfather (Little Golfie and Beep Beep) to Greyson Amorino, Connor and Harrison Fabianski. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Horvath(Stephen) and her children Glenn and Craig, his mother-in-law, Margaret Dunton, his brother-in-law, Alan Dunton and his children, Sarah and Warren. Ronald was predeceased by his parents, William and Anna and his father-in-law, Warren Dunton.
Visitation will be March 22, 2019, 4:00-8:00 P.M., at Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood, New Jersey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 23, 2019, at 10:30 A.M., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, the Amorino family requests donations to Banner University Medical Center Phoenix Stroke Unit, 2901 N. Central Avenue, Suite 160, Phoenix, AZ. 85012, in memory of Ronald J. Amorino.
