Robert P. Norelli

“All people die but not all people live”
   
Robert (Bob) Norelli definitely lived and lived his life to its fullest. Always the life of the party, Bob packed an ample life into his 92 years.  Robert fell in love with Joan Louise Avery and danced through 67 years of marriage while raising seven children.  Of course they developed many close friendships through the course of their long marriage, many of them lifelong relationships.
   
Robert is survived by his wife Joan, sister Ann, children Matt, Peter, Amy, Paul, Chris, Mary and Beth, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren .  Always kind and patient with his children, he was the exemplary definition of a father and how one should raise a family. 
    
Robert was an employee with IBM for 30 years and he and family were on the move for many years as a result of his success with the dynamic company.  Upon retiring he enjoyed his days bowling, golfing, playing cards and socializing with his friends in the Hobbyists.  He also enjoyed his family vacations and get togethers as well as telling stories and the occasional practical joke.

Bob battled with cancer the last years of his life with courage, grace and dignity.  He truly taught us how to live life positively and wholly and will be sorely missed by his family, friends and acquaintances . 

Friends and family are invited for visitation Friday, June 2 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church , Ridgewood N.J.  followed by a funeral service at 10:30.    Reception will follow at Knights of Columbus hall next to Mt. Carmel church, 31 S. Broad St. Ridgewood. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to the American Cancer Society.
