Morgan Hurley passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was 65 years old. Morgan was born to the late Patricia and John Hurley on January 26, 1956 in Jersey City. Morgan was predeceased by his brother John in 2010. Morgan is survived by his wife Mary and his beloved son Sean; a sister Madonna, husband Sal and nephew Salvador of Tinton Falls; brothers in-law Timothy of Medford, NJ; Peter and wife Angelina of Madison, NJ and many cousins. A former resident of Ridgewood and long-time member and Chairman of the Ridgewood Planning Board, Morgan was extremely civic-minded and spent countless hours volunteering in town. He loved breakfast at the Daily Treat and Friday-night pizza at Puzos. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed walks in the county park as well as trips to the Jersey shore. Morgan graduated from NYU and Fordham Law School. He practiced law for many years and was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge at the end of his career. For the past five years, Morgan was a resident of Medford, NJ and was able to enjoy time with his family and breakfast moved to the Evergreen in Southampton with extended family—Tom and Wendy—and pizza—hadn’t found another Puzos—rotated among several contenders. Morgan enjoyed these past five years in Medford and his drives through the Pine Barrens and across Route 72 to Long Beach Island with his family.
