Mauro Claudio

January 15, 1932 ~ July 1, 2021 (age 89)


Mario Claudio 89, of Fair Lawn, NJ passed peacefully at home on
July 1, 2021. He was born in Molfetta, Bari, Italy. Son of the late
Domenico and Marianna Claudio. Predeceased by his sister and
brothers, Ignazia, Sergio, and Corrado. Survived by his loving
wife of 63 years, Marie; his children: Domenick Claudio and his
wife Barbara, Mary Ann Musto and her husband Bob, and
Rosemary McCotter and her husband Michael; and his six
favorite grandchildren: Nicole, Jonathan, James, Sophia, Zachary
and Matthew.
He lived in Brooklyn when he arrived in the States and after he
married, he lived in Hoboken, Cliffside Park, Glen Rock and Fair
Lawn, NJ. He was a crane operator for the International
Longshoremen’s Association for over 35 years. He was a
member of Società Madonna Dei Martiri in Hoboken, NJ and the
Knights of Columbus in Ridgewood, NJ. He loved bowling,
cooking and most of all, spending time with family, friends and
his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave,
Ridgewood, NJ 07450 on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 6 pm to 9
pm. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church
in Ridgewood, NJ at 10 AM on July 7, 2021. Entombment at
George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Childen’s
Hospital ( or Valley Hospice (Valley Hospital Fund, 223
N. Van Dien Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450
