It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Seton Woodward Barron, 67 years old, of Glen Rock, NJ. Maureen passed away on Wednesday December 22, 2021 after a 21 year battle with cancer. Her strong spirituality allowed her to battle with ferocious tenacity but with dignity and grace. Never letting it get the best of her.
Maureen was a bright spark in this world. Her big spirit and playful personality could make anyone’s day. She was well known for her great sense of humor and also her clever pranks. April Fool's Day was one of her favorite days of the year. Maureen had a happy and playful personality that brightened everyone's day.
Our “Gram” was an amazing wife, mom, grandmother, aunt, daughter and sister. She was famous for her love of reading, gardening, decorating for every holiday, cooking and especially baking. She loved to share her time and talents with others, especially her grandchildren and nieces. She will be missed by many and will always be cherished.

In 1975, Maureen met her future husband Don while skiing in Vermont. They married on March 3, 1979 and have 2 wonderful children, Kelly and Joseph. Maureen was a wonderful full time Mom, fun loving but always instilling many great characteristics which would allow Kelly and Joe to grow into the fantastic people they are today.
Maureen volunteered extensively with many community, school and church organizations. Maureen also opened an independent bookstore called Novels and Notes which she operated for several years before settling into a position with the Glen Rock Library.
In February 2018, Don retired and the two of them spent their time enjoying the outdoors, relaxing at their beach house in Belmar, gardening, baking and best of all having fun with grandchildren, family and friends.
