Matthew T. Rose, Esq., 52, of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on March 31, 2021, following a brief illness with Metastatic Thyroid Cancer. Matthew grew up in Wyckoff, New Jersey. He is survived by his beloved siblings; Patricia, Jacqueline, Elizabeth, James, John, Timothy(Doreen), and Michael (Elisa) as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. Matthew was predeceased in life by his beloved mother, Emily Keating Rose and his father, James R. Rose.
Matthew was a graduate of Don Bosco High School in Ramsey, NJ. After high school, he earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration at Montclair State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He was a member of the National Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi. Matthew then pursued his law degree at Seton Hall University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in May of 1996. Matthew gained admittance to the bar the same year in 1996.
Matthew was employed by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office as a Prosecutor’s Agent while attending law school.
He began his career as an attorney at Dughi & Hewit. After three years at Dughi & Hewit he went on to work for Beattie Padovano for a year, deciding to open his own firm in 2000. From the year 2000 until his death, Matthew Rose was the President of the Rose Law Firm. He was a successful, well respected attorney admired by both friends and family alike.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10:00-11:30am at St. Elizabeth’s Church at 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, New Jersey.

Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:30am at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Wyckoff, followed by Graveside Burial Service at Christ The King Cemetery at 980 Huron Road, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.

Matthew’s Funeral will be live-streamed from St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church in Wyckoff, New Jersey www.saintelizabeths.org
