It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Anne (Teufel Feuerbach) Reinthaler announces her passing. Mary Anne peacefully went home to our Lord at the age of 82, on the morning following Mother’s Day, Monday, May 14, 2018.

Mary Anne was born on July 9, 1935 to Christian and Anna Teufel, and raised, together with her older brother Henry in Yorkville, Upper East Side NYC, where she attended St Catherine’s high school. After she graduated, she worked at the Metropolitan building, where she met Robert Feuerbach. They were married and moved to Maywood, NJ where her first three children born. When Mark started school they moved to Hillsdale, NJ. Two more children were born and shortly thereafter, Mary Anne was raising 5 children under the age of 9 on her own. She hustled to make ends meet. Mary Anne drove a school van and was a teachers aid for Lollipop nursery school, Woodcliff Lake, NJ. At night, she was the greeter at McQuaid Funeral home, Hillsdale, NJ, and did sewing jobs in her spare time. In the early 70’s, Mary Anne was hired by Klopman Mills, Rockleigh, NJ as a secretary for a manager named Walter Reinthaler. They started dating September 23, 1974. Mary Anne received a promotion as secretary to the Vice President and later became Supervisor of the word processing department in NYC, which she created and ran for 16 years until the day she retired. Mary Anne was very proud of her accomplishments in working with Burlington Industries. On May 23, 1987, she eventually married her first boss, in which they would be celebrating 31 years of marriage and 512 months together, as they celebrated on the 23rd of every month that they were together.

Mary Anne is survived by her loving husband Walter Reinthaler of 31 years, her beloved children Mark (Diane), Carl (Patricia), Chrisann (Bob), Diann, Deborah (Nick). Cherished Oma of 11(+) grandchildren, Christopher, Dan, Nicholas (Alyson), Matthew (Lisa), Ryan (Katie), Brandon, Gianna, Gelina, Justina, Marianna and Antonio. Mary Anne was predeceased by her brother Henry Teufel and his wife Natalie.

Mary Anne was a devout Catholic and attended mass daily, as well as weekly Eucharistic Adoration In the chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

We invite all who wish to celebrate the life of our beloved Mary Anne by wearing her favorite color orange. Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2018 from 7-9pm, and Saturday, May 19, 2018 8:30-9am, at Feeney Funeral home 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel 1 Passaic Street, Ridgewood, NJ 07450

Mary Anne will be laid to rest at Maryrest Cemetery 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah, NJ 07430
