Mary Rose Giannico

Mary Rose Giannico (Manzo), age 94, passed away March 6, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Thomas, who predeceased her in 1998. She was the loving mother of Marilyn and husband Steve Maruschak; Thomas Giannico and Marilyn Colabattisto; and Annette O’Neill. Mary Rose was the beloved grandmother of John and fiancé Karyn; Tara Clarke and husband Andrew; Michael and wife Bridgette O’Neill; Mark and wife Danielle Maruschak; and Daria Maruschak, and proud great grandmother of Annie O’Neill Clarke; Jane Elizabeth Clarke, and Sienna Rose Clarke. She is also survived by her devoted ex-son-in-law John O’Neill. Mary Rose was born in Yonkers, NY, living many years in Bedford Hills, NY, before moving to Ridgewood and Wyckoff in the last 20 years. She missed her identical twin, constant companion and best friend, Theresa, who predeceased her in 1943. Entirely devoted to her family, in years gone by, Mary Rose could be found in the kitchen cooking up a fantastic meal and entertaining her family at any time! In her later years, her family was cooking and entertaining her. A fantastic Home Decorator, she was an incredibly skilled designer in the fabric and materials used for crochet, knitting and apparel. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday March 9, 2018, at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Ridgewood. Mary will be entombed with her Thomas in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY, immediately after the Mass.
