Lois R. Walter

Lois R. Walter (nee: Strauss), 88, of Ridgewood, NJ passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019. She is met in the afterlife by her brothers William and Robert and her dear granddaughter Jaclyn Coolong. Lois is survived by her beloved husband Harold. Cherished mother of Diane H. Eliya, her husband Sami, Anita W. Conwell and her husband Thomas, Claire A. Winters and her husband Karl. Caring grandmother to Carol, James, Helen, Steven, Peter, Rebekah, Katherine, and Vanessa. Lois is also survived by her dear sister Helene Lane. Lois delighted in writing poetry and was an accomplished pianist and piano teacher. She was an elementary school teacher for 10 years and then worked as a substitute teacher while raising her family. Lois was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Ridgewood. Family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood.
