June Marie Downs

June Downs (nee O’Mara), 77, of Allendale, NJ departed this life on August 1, 2018. Left to mourning her passing is her beloved husband Joseph. Loving mother to Joseph, his wife Elizabeth Downs and their son, June’s cherished grandson Joseph Michael Downs IV. She is also survived by her brothers Daniel and Richard O’Mara and her sister Mary O’Mara. Beloved aunt to Deidre and Donald Mammano. The oldest sibling in her family, June was vital in helping raise her siblings when growing up in the Bronx, NY. She loved to plan and host family and Holiday events; and maintained lasting friendships from various backgrounds. June was a very cordial and thoughtful person who always did her best to keep in touch with everyone with phone calls, personal letters, Holiday cards and occasional visits. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 18th at 9:00 AM at St. Luke’s RC Church Ho-Ho-Kus. Interment to follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
