Lawida, Josephine V. (NEE: Avia), 92, of Washington Township, NJ, formerly of Hudson County, passed away on February 3, 2017.  Beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Lawida.  Loving mother of Monica Eanelli of Park Ridge and Arthur Lawida (Meredith) of Durham, NC.  Cherished grandmother of BethAnn, Tommy, and Kate Eanelli, and Nathan, Luke, and Lance Lawida   Loving aunt of Edgar (Judy) Overstreet of Howell, NJ, and great aunt of Eddie (Kelly) Overstreet and Travis Overstreet.  Josephine was predeceased by her niece Stephany Stefani, and her sisters May Clare Overstreet and Eleanor Stefani.  She was extremely devoted to her family, creating many traditions and memories for her grandchildren to continue and pass on.  Josephine began her career as an assistant microscopist, working with electron microscopes.  She spent most of her life teaching science, which was her passion, at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Washington Township.  She later enjoyed working part time at CellularOne.  Josephine was one of the first members of Catholic Daughters Court 1712 of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ridgewood.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood, NJ.  Visiting Monday 5:00 – 9:00 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood.  No flowers please.  Donations in memory of Josephine to the Sister Lucy Fund, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood, NJ  07450 would be greatly appreciated.
