John J. ‘Jack’ House, Jr., 79, from Midland Park, formerly from Waldwick, passed away November 19, 2018. Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Veronica of 56 years. Loving father to Terry Lairmore, John (Cathy) House, Mary Ellen (Chris) Roodenburg. Proud grandfather of Christopher, Taylor, Timothy, John Patrick, Connor, Caitlin and Ryan. Jack was employed for many years with the New York Ticket Seller Union local 751. Jack was a US Navy Veteran, serving with the Seabees. He had many years in the Public Service field as a Police Officer with the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey, Saddle River, US Immigration, Safety Officer for Valley Hospital, and he enjoyed working at Feeney Funeral Home for many years, doing night visitations and assisting on funerals.. He was an exempt member of the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department. Jack was well known for his sense of humor and many stories. He was a longtime Parishioner of St. Luke’s RC Church, Ho-Ho-Kus. Everyone is invited to meet Monday 11:15 AM at St. Luke’s for the Funeral Mass. Visiting Sunday 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave, Ridgewood.
