Joanne Byrne

Joanne T. Byrne, 66, of Waldwick, passed away on November 17, 2020.

Devoted wife to James P. Byrne. Beloved mother to daughter Lauren A. Giammanco and husband Carlo Giammanco of Wayne, NJ, and son James V. Byrne of Waldwick, NJ.  Soon to be loving grandmother of Dominic J. Giammanco.  Cherished sister of Kenneth and wife Lisa McNamara of Oak Point,TX, daughter-in-law to Scott Peritz, of Teaneck, NJ, and dear sister-in-law of the late Donna Davis. Aunt to Ryan Davis, Kristen McCrimlisk, and Anthony, Nicholas, and Vincent McNamara. Joanne will also be greatly missed by many cousins as well.

Joanne was born in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY, and after living there Joanne and James decided to settle in Waldwick to raise their family. Joanne’s outgoing personality lit up any room, she could talk to anyone.  She loved to travel and made it a goal to spend each of her birthdays in a different country.  But above all, she cherished spending time with her family, they were her world.

Visiting Sunday 2-6 at the Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 AM at St. Luke’s RC Church, HoHoKus.  Cremation private.

OUR VISITATION POLICY & PROCEDURES
We will allow 33 people at a time into the funeral home. You MUST be wearing a mask to enter, and masks must be worn AT ALL TIMES. Every 1/2 hour, we will clear the funeral home of guests (not family), sanitize, and reopen for 33 more guests. The sanitizing will take approximately 5 minutes each time. Inside the funeral home there are tape marks on the floor to promote social distancing, and there will be an orderly line to pay your respects. There will be a one way flow of visitors as entry is allowed only through the front door and exiting only through the back door. Once a visitor leaves they are not permitted back into the building.
