Jeanne A. Moeller (nee: Schaefer) 95, formerly of Ridgewood, NJ passed away peacefully on May 1, 2021. She was predeceased by her loving husband Bill of 73 years and brothers Fred and Raymond. She is survived by her son Bill, daughters Barbara (Sellitti) and Jeanne, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY, lived in Ridgewood, NY and eventually moved to Ridgewood, NJ where she was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church for over 60 years. After graduating Grover Cleveland High School, she pursued a career in office administration working for organizations such as Durkee Famous Foods, NJ Division of Fish & Game, Servo-Tek, CIBA Chemical & Dye Co., and finally in 1973 as an Optometric Assistant to Dr. John Voorhis and Dr. Robert Cameron for 32 years.
Jeanne was a caring mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to dance and perform with her husband Bill in many “Variety Shows” put on by parents at Bergen Catholic High School, groups at the Paramus Women’s Club, and several area Nursing Homes. She and Bill loved to entertain their friends with comical song and dance routines. Jeanne was always ready for those group bus trips to Atlantic City, LOVED her BINGO, and was lucky at both, and you would frequently find her at the dining room table or her favorite recliner with a cup of tea and good crossword puzzle. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she forever dance in the eternal sunshine with her loving husband.
