Jayson T. Cabrera

Jayson Travis Cabrera, of Paramus, NJ, just 42 years old, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Hackensack Hospital.

The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. Jayson was born on April 6, 1979, in New York, NY to Norma Cabrera and the late Peter Cabrera. He grew up in Bronx, NY, graduated from St. Helena High School and later in his adult life, became a resident of Paramus, NJ in 2016.

Jayson worked for the City of New York as a Sanitation Enforcement Agent. As an active member of the Paramus community, Jayson was an avid athlete and sports fan. He was a member of the Paramus White Basketball team and the Hitmen Softball team.

He loved spending time with his family, hanging out with friends and caring for his pet ferret Panda. Anyone who knew Jayson was touched by his kindness, sense of humor and big smile that lit up the room. His life was overfilled with happiness and joy, and he was always a source of positive energy.

Left to cherish Jayson’s memory, he is survived by his loving wife Cileyn; his children Amanda, Julissa, Zaia and Armani; his mother Norma; his brother Thereston and his sister Chantelle. He is also survived by his four nieces Carolyn, Alyssa, Aleynna and Jayleen, several in-laws, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
