James McGuire

James “Jim” McGuire, (71), passed away on July 30, 2022.

Cherished partner to Dorothea “Dottie” Collins. Predeceased by Bernadette McGuire (nee Carolan).

Loving father to Elizabeth Cooper (Allen) and Sheelah McGuire.
Devoted grandfather to Devon, Keegan, Raighen and Olivia.

He will be so greatly missed by his nephews, Steven (Laura) and James (Lauren) and niece, Lisa (Tom), who considered him more of a father than an uncle.

He was blessed with a beautiful family in Dottie’s daughters, Colleen (Paul), Maureen (Michael), Aileen and Kathleen; grandchildren, Meghan, Ian, Connor, Maia, Julia, Devin, Rian, Tyler and Quinn and great grandchild, Blake.

James was an adventurous travel enthusiast and a lover of the outdoors. He was a retired carpenter of over 50 years, and later an instructor and mentor to incoming apprentices. His greatest joys were camping with his family and spending time on Cape Cod. We’ll remember and greatly miss his long stories, his filet mignon dinners and the Pearl River St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. He was a living reminder to those he loved that staying in touch and caring for each other are cornerstone family principles.

Visiting hours are Sunday 8/7 from 12:00PM - 2:00PM and 3:00PM - 5:00PM, Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood, NJ. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday 8/8 at 10:00AM, Our Lady of Mount Carmel 1 Passaic St Ridgewood, NJ.
