Evelyn ‘Jeannette’ Miggels, age 92, passed away on January 17, 2018 in the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, NJ. She had been a long time resident of Waldwick, NJ having moved there with her family in 1960 from the Bronx, NY. She was born February 10, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, NY to William & Evelyn (Mitchell) Clarke. She was the eldest of five children. Jeannette was a devoted member of St Luke’s R C Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. She was an accomplished artist & a member of the Pastel Society of America. Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, Andre Albert Miggels of The Hague, the Netherlands, her parents, her brothers John and William & a sister, Florence. She is survived by her brother Edward and her daughter Dianne Gensinger & her husband, Edward, son Stephen & his wife Judith, son Kevin & his wife Candice & son John & his wife Elizabeth. As well as several nieces & nephews. She was Nana to Brian, John, Stephen, Christopher, Caitlin, and Andrew & Great Grandmother to Molly Marie, William, & Kathryn Quinn. While the little ones all lived a distance away, she was thrilled to see their pictures & hear stories about their young lives. Her family will greet friends on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood, NJ from 2:00pm until 4:00pm & again from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. A Requiem Mass celebrating her life will be on Monday at St. Luke’s RC Church at 10:00am. Following the Mass, burial will be at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
