Daniel P. Cummings

Daniel P. Cummings, 57, of Franklin Lakes, passed away on February 23, 2023.
 
Pre-deceased by his mother Diana and father Daniel. Devoted father to daughter Shannon and sons Patrick and Ryan, and ex-husband to Maureen, of Ridgewood. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
 
Daniel was born in Cincinnati, OH and eventually moved to the Baltimore area where he attended the Park School. He received his BS in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He had an illustrious career working for Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. His roles included Head of Global Equity Capital Markets, Head of International Wealth and Investment Management and Executive Vice Chairman.

He served on many Boards including the Valley Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, Ridgewood Library Board of Trustees, The Park School of Baltimore Board of Trustees as well as the Student Athlete Advisory Council at the University of Notre Dame.

His favorite pastimes included playing golf with his boys and spending time with family. He was an avid reader and great photographer, always behind the camera snapping pictures of family and friends. A passionate sports fan, he was devoted to the Mets, Jets, Cornell Lacrosse, Notre Dame Football and Villanova Basketball.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, February 28 5-8 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 10 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, Ridgewood. Interment to follow at Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood.
