Paparozzi, Caroline Mary (nee France), 92, passed away on July 27. She was born at home to Michael and Josephine Bruno France. Caroline grew up in Garfield; graduated from Garfield High School and attended college at Paterson State and Seton Hall University. After her marriage to Frank James Paparozzi, they moved to Ho-Ho-Kus. Caroline was a long time employee of Spaldo Paper Company in Lodi serving for over 35 years as office manager for Louis Sr. and then his son, ‘Mickey’ Spaldo until his retirement. Over the years, Caroline was active in many organizations including The Valley Hospital Auxiliary and St. Gabriel’s Church Choir where she was the choir music librarian as well as a member. Upon her retirement, she also volunteered as a docent and an assistant to the curator at the Hermitage. In 2002, she received the State of New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry Volunteer of the Year Award.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Ellen Paparozzi and Walt Stroup, her grandson Frank Paparozzi Stroup and his fiancée Megan O’Brien, her sisters-in-law Camille Galorenzo and Dolores McLaren, her devoted companion Melesa Thompson, special friend Marion Brown, many devoted nieces and nephews, grand and great- grand nieces and nephews, the Mark Brown family and many cousins. Viewing Friday, August 3 from 5-9 PM at Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood. Funeral Mass at St. Gabriel’s Church at 10 AM on Saturday, August 4.
