Wilkes, Carol Lee (Mowerson), 80, of Fair Lawn and Washington Township, passed away January 8, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Charles A. Wilkes, who predeceased her in 2001. Loving mother of Barry and wife Kim Wilkes of Glen Rock, Karen L. and husband Michael Strittmatter of Shrewsbury, Kathy A. and husband Paul Pare of Midland Park, Curt C and wife Jennifer Wilkes of Franklin Lakes. Adoring grandmother of Charles, Rebecca, and Barry Wilkes; Emily, Brett, Monica and Craig Wilkes; Philip, Carol Lee, and Katie Pare; Matthew, Andrew, Kelly and Kurt Strittmatter, and great grandmother of Macie Michele, Scarlett Harper, and Mackenzie James Strittmatter. Devoted sister of Linda Jane and husband Joshua L. Burrows, Jr., and Kenneth Mowerson, Jr. Born in Allendale in 1937, Carol Lee was a parishioner of the Church of the Nativity, Midland Park, NJ, and a former parishioner of St. Anne’s in Fair Lawn, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She also volunteered at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, and Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff. Carol Lee loved the sun, being at the beach in Lavallette and Jupiter, FLA, but most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. All are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday January 16, 10:00 AM at Church of the Nativity, Midland Park, with interment to follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Monday 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.
