Blanca E. Oliveras

Blanca E. Oliveras, 96, a resident of Ridgewood for 20 years, passed away on October 15, 2019 with her family by her side. 

Devoted mother to daughter Awilda R. Montalvo of Ridgewood, NJ. Loving grandmother of Awilda E. Montalvo.  Cherished sister of Carmen Oliveras of Ciales, PR. Blanca will also be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as her many friends at Mt. Carmel.

Blanca was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico, and after living in New York City for 30 years, decided to settle in Ridgewood to be closer to her daughter after her son in law’s passing.  Her favorite pastimes included daily walks, cooking for family, and a lifelong love of music and dancing. Blanca was always a cheerful, affectionate person who welcomed all. She had a great sense of humor, and always made the best of every situation. Blanca was also a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Ridgewood. 

The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories, Washington Township, NJ. Visiting Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood.
