Angele T Ekert
December 23, 1961 ~ November 2, 2021 (age 59) 59 Years Old
25 Flowers or Condolences have been shared with support of Angele's family - View on Tribute Wall
Angele T. Ekert Angele Ekert (nee Kassar), 59, of Ridgewood, N.J., passed away peacefully on November 2, 2021.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph and Josephine Kassar, Angele grew up in Haworth, N.J. and resided in Ridgewood, N.J. from 1993 until the time of her passing.
Angele graduated from NVRHS, Demarest in 1979, and Fairfield University in 1983. After spending 17 years on Wall Street as a trader, Angele reinvented herself as a realtor in order to raise her family.
Angele worked as a realtor for almost 20 years, ending her career with Sotheby’s International Realty where she was regularly recognized as a top performer in her field.
Angele loved her family. She loved the Yankees, Bruce Springsteen, the beach, her dogs…Ridgewood, Brooklyn and her Syrian-Italian heritage. No one could host a party like Angele (especially when Ken did the cooking). She was a woman of great faith in the Lord and in the traditions of her family. She was altruistic to a fault and devoted all of her free time to the Social Services Association of Ridgewood, where she served as a board member and co-President.
Angele is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Ken, and her two remarkable children, Kelley and Kenny. She leaves behind her brokenhearted parents, Joseph and Josephine Kassar; her siblings, Helen, Kim (Shauntel), Phil and Christine (Ryan); her Mother-in-law, Agnes Ekert, sisters-in-law Kim (Dominick), Keri and Kara (Jim) along with 19 loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her Father-in-law, Charles Ekert.
Visitation will be at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave, Ridgewood on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Social Services Association, 6 Station Plaza, Ridgewood, New Jersey.
