A. Carolyn Hemschot, fondly called Lynne by family and friends, a resident of Ho-Ho-Kus for over 60 years, peacefully left this world from home for a better place on September 21, 2018. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ernie in 1991. Lynne is survived by her four loving children, Ernest III (Skip) Hemschot of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Newton, New Jersey; Marielle Hemschot and her partner John J. Delucca of Ho-Ho-Kus; Monica Iannacone and her husband Richard of Ho-Ho-Kus; and Christopher Hemschot and his wife Laura of Wilton, CT. Lynne is also survived by her two loving grandchildren, Sophia and Hannah Hemschot, and several beloved nieces and nephews. Lynne was a longtime parishioner of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. She was an avid and skilled duplicate bridge player, having won numerous competitions over her lifetime, and enjoyed running the Valley Hospital Auxiliary Bridge group for many years. Lynne also enjoyed her career with Playtex, Inc. until her retirement in 1997. She loved being with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The wake will be at Feeney’s Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450, 201-444-7650 on Sunday September 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral Mass will be at St. Luke’s Church on Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus on Monday September 24, 2018, at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ. Donations in Lynne’s name may be made to the Ho-Ho-Kus Ambulance Corps and will be greatly appreciated.
