Jane Mary Ball (nee Wasmuth), 87, of Lakewood (Leisure Village East), formerly of Manhattan and Queens, peacefully passed away on June 25, 2017. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Jennifer and her son-in-law Vance Edelson, and her adoring grandchildren Peter and Kimmy. Jane also leaves her loving sister Barbara and her husband Paul Donahue in addition to nearly 20 nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friend of many years Barbara Bradshaw of Lostwithiel, England. She is predeceased by her brother William Wasmuth and her sisters Ann Donahue and Helen Schneider. Jane enjoyed a wonderful career as a talented executive assistant at the Associated Press, International News Service, British Airways and the Institute of International Education. She enjoyed traveling the world and loved all things British.  Jane was also an avid reader, passionate about politics, interested in archeology, and a movie buff who watched classic films in her spare time. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Feeney Funeral Home at 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at St. Gabriel’s RC Church, Saddle River at 11 am.
